DRUG & ALCOHOL CONSORTIUM
Any company using CDL drivers are required to have all of those drivers in a drug and alcohol consortium. The regulations state that each driver name is to be in the pool and is subject to selection each quarter no matter how many times they may have already been selected. This also includes anyone who is the sole owner and operator of a commercial motor vehicle.
Our consortium currently has over 700 drivers. The selections are done once a quarter. It is imperative that each company send their driver for the collection as soon as possible upon receiving the notice of selection.
Should you join our consortium, there are several pieces of information that must be returned to us in order to calculate the correct numbers of tests that have actually been completed in order to reach the 50% testing for drugs and 10% testing for alcohol required by DOT.

We have found this addition to the program exceptionally helpful to each company in order to keep from being fined by auditors or DPS officers.
